Korean Twist

Within a few weeks we had heard more mentions of Korean Twist than any other food cart. Then when I would tell someone else about it, they would say, “YES! We love that place.”  So we had to add it to the never ending list of places we neededto visit. Thanks to Lisa, a local blogger we bumped it up on the list, she told us how amazing they were too.

We met up with another contact I have made through this blog, Jordan, who really wanted to take us to Korean Twist. This is the same Korean – Mexican food twist as Koi Fusion. Since I really like Koi Fusion, I knew I was going to love this place. We ordered the Spicy Pork Tacos. Now we like spicy, not super spicy, but give me something with some kick and I’m gonna love it.

I have to say these tacos lived up to what everyone was saying about them. I looked over at my husband at one point and he was literally drenched in the sauce. It was on his face, his hands, he was practically dripping it on his lap.  It was quite the sight. I’m not sure if they are truly that messy or he just couldn’t eat it fast enough. Either way, there was no getting between him and that taco.

I shouldn’t make fun of him too much, because I thoroughly enjoyed the taco and yes, I did go through a few napkins myself. Spicy? Yes! I also loved that even though there was lots of spice going on, you were still able to taste the meat. They are definitely spicier than what I normally get at Koi Fusion, but I still like them both equally, they are just enough different.

I was excited this day because right next door was Nong’s Khao Man Gai and it was also one of the places I was excited to try. I love it when things work out so perfectly like that.

  • Atmosphere at this pod is very bustling, especially during the lunch hour.
  • Pricing was great and they had options between burritos and tacos and a few other items.
  • Service was great. They were helpful and really on it during this lunch rush.
  • I didn’t check what drinks they had since we brought our own water.
  • Korean Twist is located on 10th & Alder.
