Dinner at this place is fabulous, so when I heard they were serving brunch on Sunday I knew it would be good, but I needed to find out for sure. I did a little Facebook stalking and found that they do have Eggs Benedict so I was set. I always look over the menu, you know, just in case. He did say that they had cinnamon rolls right out of the oven. SOLD! They also offer fresh baked scones and the flavors are always changing and those were warm too, but we went with the cinnamon roll, we had too!
We started with that. He brought it out right away. You can see by the picture that it looks amazing, the only thing I was bummed about was it was burnt on the back side. It was incredibly moist, and loaded with almonds, walnuts and buttermilk icing. The outside was even good (the non burnt part). I say get this cinnamon roll for sure.
The Eggs Benedict came with Prosciutto and was on a house made focaccia bread. I loved having it on the focaccia bread, it was different and very buttery and a great compliment. Hollandaise sauce was really good too. Very solid eggs bennie!
The hash was also very good. The menu does say smoked trout, which would be fantastic, but the day we went it was a pork. Very savory in flavor, because of the braised meat. Loaded with hearty potatoes and topped with 2 eggs. Really good, now we need to go back for the smoked trout.
They also offer pizza, salad and sandwiches on their brunch menu. I did look at some of the pizzas, but I was craving an eggs benedict. Maybe we will just have to return for dinner and get their pizza.Check out my dinner review. I really want to go back for that too!
I am glad I was finally able to cross this off my “9 Breakfasts I’m Excited to Try” list.
