I know, really deep subject huh? But hear me out on this one, because I actually think I might be onto something.
I am frugal, let’s just get that out there, but I like good food and I am willing to pay money for good, quality food.
I am not a coffee drinker, I prefer tea. Most places charge $2 for a cup of tea. There is nothing that frustrates me more when I go to a place and pay my $2 for tea and I am given Stash tea or Lipton tea. You can buy a 30 bag box of Stash tea at Cash and Carry for $2.33. That’s quite a mark up and I don’t even really like Stash all that much.
Coffee drinkers always get the attention they are getting quality coffee like, Stumptown or Caffe Umbria. Tea drinkers also like a good quality product, but for some reason they get forgotten.
You can purchase Two Leaves and a Bud at the grocery store for $8 for 15 bags. It’s great stuff and you feel like you are getting something special and more worth your money. Another one we see in Portland is Mighty Leaf. Again it’s one of those that is a much better quality, so I don’t feel like I am being ripped off. If you want a Portland local, try Steven Smith Teamaker. There are lots of great choices out there.
So what is being served at my breakfast is important to me and I will note it. It all adds to the dining experience and to me it’s just another great attention to detail.
I thought you liked white choc mochas?
I like teas with my breakfast. White chocolate mochas are like an afternoon dessert to me.
