Are you looking for the perfect gift that has “Portland” written all over it? Well I have searched high and low and I think I have come up with a few options that you just might like. There is a little something for everyone. Of course I am taking care of all the foodies out there, but I have a few other ideas up my sleeve that you might like too!
Eat Guides
Happy Hour Guidebook – I have gotten one of these every year for the last few years. It not only comes with coupons, but it’s a handy guide to all the places to eat in Portland and the neighborhoods they are in. This is a great gift for the money conscientious person since it is Happy Hour after all.
Breakfast in Bridgetown – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so why not choose one of Portland’s great breakfast joints from a breakfast expert. I have used this book to make my own lists and refer to it often.
Portland’s 100 Best Places To Stuff Your Faces – Author Jen Stevenson has taken it upon herself to try as much food as she can in Portland. She has put together this handy pocket size book giving you great suggestions of places to eat around town.
Portland Food Cart Stories – Of course I like this book because I am featured in it. You will find all the stories behind food cart owners and even what their specialty is. Once you read the book you will really want to support these food cart owners as you understand all it takes to do what they do in the elements all year long.

Walking/Hiking Guides
The Portland Stairs Book – You have seen me refer to this book a number of times. I love incorporating Stair Walks with Food carts. It makes for the perfect day out enjoying all Portland has to offer.
60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Portland – This book is a gem for those that love hiking. There are so many great hikes close to home and this book allows you to take advantage of all of them. It gives you location (obviously), length of walk and difficulty level. There is a hike for every hiker out there.

Some of my Favorite Products Being Made in this City
Kelly’s Jelly – My favorite of all her jellies is the Habanero jelly. It’ has just the right amount of kick. It’s perfect on cream cheese as an appetizer or on a charcuterie plate. I always have some of this in my fridge. It also pairs well with the next item.
Bliss Nut Butters – I didn’t eat peanut butter at all until I tried this. You can find this at some stores like New Seasons, but one of our favorite food carts is also carrying it, The Cheese Plate PDX. Actually, The Cheese Plate has added a little market of lots of local products to their food cart, so load up on stocking stuffers while you are there.
Jacobsen Salt– I love this salt. I always have some in my kitchen and I have given this as gifts several times. It just feels special and after you have used it just one time, you too will agree that it is special.
Rain Shine Sweet – These are great stocking stuffers and they are made locally. I have tried most of the flavors and love them all.
All Things Portland
The Best Places To Pee – Are you looking for a great coffee table book to give as a gift? This book showcases some fun and funky bathrooms in Portland. I have this book and it gets picked up every single time someone new comes to the house. It’s such a great conversation piece, plus the bathrooms will also introduce you to some great places to eat and drink around Portland.
Homeland Tees Oregon Home State T-Shirt – My daughter found this and has added it to her Christmas list. I love it so much I thought I would share.
PDX Carpet T-shirt – Portlander’s love the carpet at the airport. It’s photographed often. They love it so much they designed a shirt, plus much more stuff like mugs and buttons all with the carpet design on it.
Oregon Beer Growler – For the Beer lover in your life you can get them a subscription to this local magazine.
Gift Certificates
I am a big fan of gift certificate to restaurants and food carts. Just dig right into my blog and you just might find what you are looking for. Looking for a certain part of town. Then check out my Pinterest page where everything is divided up nicely for you. Plus here are some cool ways to EatYourWayThruPortland.
Portland Food Adventures – This is a gift for that friend that loves food. You could give the gift of a great dinner with Joshua McFadden and Ethan Stowell or Ben Bettinger, and you can do so with gift certificates to PFA.
Eat Adventures Food Tours – Want to experience some Portland restaurants or food carts. Let these guys do all the work for you. And when I say ALL, I mean all. Jump in their van and let them wow you with some great food without a care in the world.
I hope this list has just what you need for your shopping needs. Best part is, most of it can be done from the comfort of your own home. While everyone is out doing the crazy Black Friday sales, you will be drinking coffee, in your PJ’s ordering the perfect gift.

Great list! Thanks, Amy! You’re the best 🙂
Awesome guide! I’m working on mine right now and it’s pretty cool how different they are, even though it’s the same topic. But yours is a good reminder I need to get the Best Places To Pee book.
